Tpotmon is a parody card generator using public X/Twitter data. It's a fun side project that I made in a week, it's reach has gone far beyond my expectations, I'm really happy to see cards being created and shared across so many communities on the internet.
The site takes an X username, get's the public profile, and gets the last 40 publicly available posts. These posts are then sent to ChatGPT with a prompt to determine your ability and attack based on your profile, and public tweets. This information is then arranged in a pre-determined card format for the result.
The information you see associated with the card is what is stored, along with the date it was created.
An API call to ChatGPT is used to generate the ability and attack names and descriptions. The card itself is a hand-coded SVG which describes how the elements are arranged.
Yes. Post the phrase "@wagieweeb tpotmon-opt-out" to prove you are in control of that username and I will remove your card's DB record, and add you to an opt-out list that will prevent other people from entering your username.

Yes. There is a hidden mechanic where you can have a new card created after 30 days if you want to see how much you've improved.
